THOUGHT: Thoughts of Fear, Steps of Faith

Hello, Everyone.  donovin  here, with today's thought: Thoughts of Fear, Steps of Faith      It was a challenging weekend. I didn’t get to film on my regular schedule, winter weather showed itself as I had to use the snowblower and I was taking care of sick people.  Thoughts of fear popped up.. Will this family member get better health wise? Is this a cold or corona? How am I going to be consistent with this and that coming up? Am I too old to try to change for the better now? If I would’ve done that so many years ago. I hope this snowblower works, my back is hurting from shoveling yesterday! Am I stuck here at this job or…? (you fill in the blank) And so on and so on.. Those thoughts of fear try to dominate your mind. Making you feel like you can’t move ahead.   As if we’re stuck in some mental quicksand. But we can get out of that mental quicksand with actions of Faith. We have to remember to keep moving with Actions of Faith. That’s the only way to ...

THOUGHT: What kind of President do you want?

Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought:   THOUGHT: What kind of President do you want? I'll start with this YouTube clip from the movie, Head of State staring Chris Rock.  Prepare yourself, depending on on who you are, this blog may be long or short, boring or powerful, but it still has a point especially as people cast their vote today.     The President of The United States is elected and responsible to preform and enforce the laws written by Congress and, to that end, appoints the heads of the federal agencies, including the Cabinet.   What are the roles of the president? The President is simultaneously 6 roles... (1) chief of state , the formal head of a national state as distinguished from the head of the government.   (2) chief executive , implement policy, supervise the executive branch of government, prepare executive budget for submission to congress, and appoint and remove executive officials. The head of government i...

THOUGHT: Fear Or Faith......Which One Are You Holding Onto?

Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: FEAR Or  FAITH ......Which One Are You Holding Onto? With all the concerns about COVID-19, I see there is a sense of fear going around. When I go to the grocery store and see people with masks on, I wonder if they are infected. Then they look at me without a mask as if I am doomed. There is a lot of mixed emotions about the whole thing and at the end of the day, the choice of how you react to the virus is yours. Before I thought of the question and title of today's thought...I was thinking of something my mother used to do with my younger sister and me. How our Mother would take us to the Video store (VHS) and would rent these cheesy zombie movies. You know these movies. The movie that would have you laughing on the floor beginning to end! Not with my Mother. My sister and I would be eating popcorn in front of the 25-inch console TV (revealing old age) on the grossest parts of the movie. I'd look bac...
