Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: To Be Continued




Can you believe it? We are on the edge of 2021 This weekend; many people will be looking at the ball drop. Some people are waiting for the New Year to DO or BE something new, While others are…(pause)

Don’t you love …or hate when you’re watching a movie, a show or reading something and you’re hit with a cliffhanger? Your mind might start racing with scenarios of how the character will survive. You are hoping for the next episode or book will answer your questions, but in the back of your mind, you know it can not end like that. There is a way.

 

I think how that is the same with our lives. We are characters making decisions, acting out the scenes in front of invisible cameras recording our life. Who is watching?

I believe God is watching everyday He blesses us with. How we’ll react to circumstances that come our way and what conclusions we make going forward.

I also think our family, friends and others are watching us. Taking notes and how they can help when they can. They have their own life and responsibilities too.

And quiet as kept, we are watching them to respond the same way.

I know this can be the time of year we reflect on goals, dreams, mistakes, etc.



Many people are writing down new goals for 2022. Hoping for new things in 2022.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. We need to be specific about the actions we take in our lives. That’s what responsibility is about. We make plans to move on, to continue on with the life we’ve been given.




Do you think you’re hit with a cliffhanger?

Don’t worry. Like the shows we watch, books we read and even celebrities we admire going through rough times…. everything is to be continued.

 

To sum it up

I share this, because the fact why we make these goals, have new hope and dreams about life is that we want it to be continued. We don’t want things to be mundane. Life is never adventurous standing still, So, let’s keep moving. Our story isn’t over until God says it is.

 

Questions:

How do you think your life is going right now?

Are you making plans to make it better? (Health, Relationships, and Income)

Are you seeking God’s guidance about it?

How is your response to His guidance? (Patience of the process, etc.)

Are you keeping the end goal in mind? (Growth is the ultimate goal)

To Be Continued

Every day of our lives,

Scenes we act out,

Building up to a cliffhanger.

A point in our life,

Where it seems no way…

Little hope, few words, no route showing escape.

But if you’ve been living awhile,

You know that is not true.

God is still writing the script,

You know you have to continue.

Be what you need to be,

Change what you have to change.

You are the main character in the movie,

You have to grow and fight another day.

God and others are watching you,

You show hasn’t been cancelled.

Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: FEAR Or  FAITH ......Which One Are You Holding Onto? With all the concerns about COVID-19, I see there is a sense of fear going around. When I go to the grocery store and see people with masks on, I wonder if they are infected. Then they look at me without a mask as if I am doomed. Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought:  The Direction of Your Anger (My George Floyd Reaction)  First of all, I want to send my condolences to the family and friends of George Floyd. My prayers and heart goes out to you for your loss. May God give you strength, His love, and comfort during this time. You lost a family member and/or a friend. The world lost another black man taken away from us too soon and his absence will be missed. Though I did not know George, He was/is someone's Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, etc. And his absence from the Black community and nation has been felt since his passing. I sent the past week remembering the fears of my mother and how she'd stress to me dealing with the police and statistics of black men being murdered or locked up in prison. that I would be lucky to reach 35 years old based on statistics at that time. Thank God for me beating those statistics, but there is unrest for black men in what is call

Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: THOUGHT: Cursing/Profanity - Unnecessary Language This isn't an easy one to write about. Some people are probably rolling their eyes or share the sentiment of the lady in the picture of the left. That's okay and I understand, but I wanted to share my thoughts about unnecessary language of cursing as I've known it growing up and it's so called proper name, profanity. Dictionary's meaning: verb (used without object) to use profanity; curse; swear. verb (used with object) to swear at; curse: He cussed the pedestrian for getting in his way. to criticize or reprimand in harsh terms (often followed by out): The coach cussed out the team for losing.
