Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: To Be Continued




Can you believe it? We are on the edge of 2021 This weekend; many people will be looking at the ball drop. Some people are waiting for the New Year to DO or BE something new, While others are…(pause)

Don’t you love …or hate when you’re watching a movie, a show or reading something and you’re hit with a cliffhanger? Your mind might start racing with scenarios of how the character will survive. You are hoping for the next episode or book will answer your questions, but in the back of your mind, you know it can not end like that. There is a way.

 

I think how that is the same with our lives. We are characters making decisions, acting out the scenes in front of invisible cameras recording our life. Who is watching?

I believe God is watching everyday He blesses us with. How we’ll react to circumstances that come our way and what conclusions we make going forward.

I also think our family, friends and others are watching us. Taking notes and how they can help when they can. They have their own life and responsibilities too.

And quiet as kept, we are watching them to respond the same way.

I know this can be the time of year we reflect on goals, dreams, mistakes, etc.



Many people are writing down new goals for 2022. Hoping for new things in 2022.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. We need to be specific about the actions we take in our lives. That’s what responsibility is about. We make plans to move on, to continue on with the life we’ve been given.




Do you think you’re hit with a cliffhanger?

Don’t worry. Like the shows we watch, books we read and even celebrities we admire going through rough times…. everything is to be continued.

 

To sum it up

I share this, because the fact why we make these goals, have new hope and dreams about life is that we want it to be continued. We don’t want things to be mundane. Life is never adventurous standing still, So, let’s keep moving. Our story isn’t over until God says it is.

 

Questions:

How do you think your life is going right now?

Are you making plans to make it better? (Health, Relationships, and Income)

Are you seeking God’s guidance about it?

How is your response to His guidance? (Patience of the process, etc.)

Are you keeping the end goal in mind? (Growth is the ultimate goal)

To Be Continued

Every day of our lives,

Scenes we act out,

Building up to a cliffhanger.

A point in our life,

Where it seems no way…

Little hope, few words, no route showing escape.

But if you’ve been living awhile,

You know that is not true.

God is still writing the script,

You know you have to continue.

Be what you need to be,

Change what you have to change.

You are the main character in the movie,

You have to grow and fight another day.

God and others are watching you,

You show hasn’t been cancelled.

THOUGHT: Fear Or Faith......Which One Are You Holding Onto?

Hello, Everyone. donovin here, with today's thought: FEAR Or  FAITH ......Which One Are You Holding Onto? With all the concerns about COVID-19, I see there is a sense of fear going around. When I go to the grocery store and see people with masks on, I wonder if they are infected. Then they look at me without a mask as if I am doomed. There is a lot of mixed emotions about the whole thing and at the end of the day, the choice of how you react to the virus is yours. Before I thought of the question and title of today's thought...I was thinking of something my mother used to do with my younger sister and me. How our Mother would take us to the Video store (VHS) and would rent these cheesy zombie movies. You know these movies. The movie that would have you laughing on the floor beginning to end! Not with my Mother. My sister and I would be eating popcorn in front of the 25-inch console TV (revealing old age) on the grossest parts of the movie. I'd look bac...
